Trilingual, multicultural, language lover, and EdTech enthusiast. This sentence defines me, and my teaching.
I knock down my classroom walls. I want my students to appreciate the world they live in, to soak in the multiple cultures of the planet, to become global citizens, to appreciate what they have, or what they don't.
Teaching Foreign Languages is the perfect combination to my global approach. As a matter of fact, I think that I studied languages because it opens up the world. Because we learn languages to open ourselves to others. To me, languages and multiculturalism should come together.
And then came the Internet, and Edtech, and the million tools that we have at our fingertips. And what a better way than the Online World to provide real life content, never ending possibilities, and motivating learning experiences to educate language and global citizenship skills?
That is the reason why I love technology, and the reason why I incorporate it in my classroom daily. And students love it, but not more than I love the way in which their eyes shine when I introduce a new tool for a new project in our Foreign Language Classroom. That is how they learn, this is what they like, this is what they want. And this is what I give them, and much more; a world at their fingertips.
